If you are looking to buy a property on the Costa del Sol but want something in a smaller community offering good access to the mountains and beaches, then Elviria is the place for you. The urbanisation is about a fifteen-minute drive from Marbella city centre and just 30 minutes from Malaga International Airport. Elviria is a modern development area and is therefore well equipped with services, amenities and entertainment facilities. Elviria has many superior quality developments and urbanisations which mostly tend to be on an elevated position overlooking the sea and within walking distance to the beach.

If you are buying a property to use as a holiday home or to rent out, Elviria offers excellent investment potential with the Santa Maria Golf & Country Club and Santa Clara golf course which can be played on all year round thanks to the 320 days of sunshine which the Costa del Sol is famous for. Also the Marbella Club and the Golf Rio Real are only a short drive away. The El Casco Tennis Club is located in Elviria and the small and picturesque port of Cabopino is close by and much used by residents of Elviria for its excellent bars and restaurants.

Many people are purchasing property in Elviria because of its excellent infrastructure. Local health services are provided by the state funded Hospital Costa del Sol which is just 2kms from Elviria; and excellent educational facilities for primary and secondary students are provided by the English International School.

The centre of Elviria is village-like with a town hall, post office, schools, bars, restaurants and a shopping centre. It is located just a few hundred metres from the beach which you can walk along to Los Monteros and Marbella to the west or Puerto Cabopino to the east. From the village centre the land rises gently past the Santa Maria golf course on to the La Mariena and Hofsas Tennis College.

For all the above reasons, many people are choosing Elviria as the place to buy property as a second home abroad and their 'place in the sun'. The main reasons for the continuing demand for property on the Costa del Sol are:
