Nueva Andalucia is an extremely attractive area just west of Marbella where the design of the villas and apartments are based on traditional Andalusian architecture and design. It has a disused bullring which is about to be developed into a prestigious shopping and cultural centre which you pass as the road climbs towards the mountains. On a clear day you can see North Africa in the distance from here.

Nueva Andalucia is a small and exclusive residential area in which to buy a property. The centre of the village has shopping area with supermarkets, banks, hairdressing and beauty salons, bars, restaurants and a gymnasium. There is a large outdoor market held here every Saturday morning which starts at Centro Plaza, goes past the bullring and down to Puerto Banus. Every modern amenity is available here if you are thinking of buying a property.

There are excellent tennis facilities and the area is perfect for golfers with several magnificent courses which include Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, Aloha Golf and La Dama de Noche (which is floodlit for night time play) all literally a stone's throw away. The area is known as Golf Valley and all the courses here are surrounded by stunning scenery with a mountain backdrop.

Because this is a small and quite mountainous area, land for development is very limited and therefore property is at a premium. There are a number of attractive urbanisations where you can purchase resale properties as well as some townhouses and villas situated in the hills.

Nueva Andalucía has several very good schools, including the international Aloha College. It is also home to one of the two casinos on the Costa del Sol which is situated in the Andalucia Plaza Hotel and boasts a vast gaming room.

Nueva Andalucía is ideally situated for people living in Spain and tourists as it is close to Puerto Banus and Marbella but has the natural beauty of the Sierra Blanca and Ronda mountain ranges as its backdrop with the unspoilt pueblo village of San Pedro Alcantara just next door

Just a ten minute walk from Nueva Andalucia you will find Puerto Banus which is a chic and stylish resort which centres around a yacht marina and fishing harbour. This really is the place to people watch and come and see the glitterati pass by.

Since its inception just over forty years ago the port has steadily grown and now has a commercial shopping centre, El Corte Ingles department store, a marine observatory and a multi cinema with films shown with their original soundtrack.Or you can drive for 15 minutes and arrive in Marbella with its beautiful boulevards, parks and gardens, as well as its Old Town and Orange Square full of narrow Moorish cobbled lanes with some exceptional plazas and shops. This area has great beaches, climate and entertainment

Buying a property in Nueva Andalucia represents excellent investment potential as it is at the back of the area known as the Golden Mile which starts at the western edge of Marbella town and stretches to Puerto Banus. Here you will find some of the areas most impressive villas and luxury developments. The Golden Mile is divided by a motorway and there are a number of five-star hotels and golf courses here; and while the beachside of the motorway is fully developed, the mountain side (and Nueva Andalucia) is still undergoing some change. Investment opportunities in this area include properties with some spectacular views of the mountains and Mediterranean Sea.
