With a developed road structure, the roads along the Costa del Sol offers the perfect base for trips further along the coast and inland into the romantic Andalucian landscape. To the west of Málaga, the capital of the Costa del Sol lie the towns and resorts of Manilva, San Luis de Sabanillas, Estepona, San Pedro de Alcantara, Marbella (Puerto Banus), Mijas, Fuengirola, Benalmadena and Torremolinos. From the West towards the Granada border, the coast line is less developed and includes Nerja. La Axarquia and its Moorish is part of Andalucias most popular areas. El Rincon de la Victoria, Almayate, Torre del Mar, and the coastal area of Velez-Malaga, capital of La Axarquia, Algarrobo, Torrox (with Roman ruins on its beach)and the inland attractions such as the caves Cueva de Nerja attract short and long term stay visitors.
